New investment: Leapy
From apprentice to employee: why we invested in Leapy
Leapy convinced us as an employable skills venture, as it teaches apprentices exactly the skills they need to excel and build a career. In Brazil, companies must hire apprentices by law, but nationally only around 15% of them get a permanent job. With Leapy, that rate more than triples!
Leapy acts as a full apprenticeship partner for mid-to-large employers. It finds and matches candidates, trains them with a curriculum co-designed with employers, and gives HR teams a platform to track performance and spot future hires. Leapy’s ambition goes beyond its own programs: they want to change how Brazil sees apprenticeships, from a legal obligation to a promising talent pipeline where young people get the support they need to thrive.
Together with lead investor Astella, we are proud to back and welcome to the elea Entrepreneurs’ Community Leapy’s founders Daniel Nunes de Souza Almeida, Matheus Fonseca, and Marlon Wanderllich.
