elea partners with African Leadership Academy to foster impact entrepreneurship in Africa

22 February 2023

elea enters into a multi-year partnership with African Leadership Academy (ALA), intending to further broaden its contribution to the African ecosystem by supporting the education of the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs.

elea's contribution is based on three pillars:

  1. elea will act as a sparring partner on the topic of entrepreneurialism and be the inaugural member of the Entrepreneurship & Investment Council.
  2. An elea expert-in-residency will serve as a bridge to the investor world and advise the ALA team, their students, and Anzisha fellows.
  3. Support of The Anzisha Prize, an ALA initiative that seeks to significantly increase the number of job-generative entrepreneurs in Africa by identifying, training, and connecting ambitious, very young entrepreneurs under 23 years with leadership potential to run successful businesses.

ALA seeks to transform Africa by developing a powerful network of young leaders to address Africa’s most significant challenges, achieve extraordinary social impact, and accelerate the continent’s growth trajectory. Since 2008, 1’537 young people from 46 different African countries have enrolled in their two-year program. ALA alumni are guided by a powerful network along their path to transformative impact in Africa.

elea is proud to be partnering with an organization it has admired for many years. The team looks forward to mutual contributions to fighting poverty in Africa with entrepreneurial means.
